Norsk Forfattersentrum skapar kontakt mellom forfattarar og publikum og sikrar at forfattaren får riktig honorar. Vi er ein medlemsorganisasjon for forfattarar, med over 1800 medlemmar i heile landet. Organisasjonen vart etablert i 1968.
Kva gjer Norsk Forfattersentrum?
Vi formidlar forfattarar til opplesingar, bokbad, foredrag, skrivekurs, skulebesøk og mykje anna. Viktige oppdragsgjevarar er bibliotek, skular, offentlege institusjonar, bokbransjen, organisasjonar og næringslivet.
Dei største arrangementa våre er Dei Litterære Festspela, Forfattarsleppet, Æ Å Trondheim litteraturfestival, Forfattarforelesinga, Litteraten og regionale bokdagar. Vi tilbyr òg skrivekurs, formidlingskurs og ei rekkje andre arrangement.
Norsk Forfattersentrum er ein viktig aktør for litteratur i Den kulturelle skulesekken. Difor samarbeider vi med fylke og kommunar om eit best mogleg litteraturtilbod til barn og unge. Forfattersentrum eig Litteraturbruket, eit kompetansesenter for litterære produksjonar.
Norsk Forfattersentrum står for levande formidling av samtidslitteraturen.

About The Norwegian Writer’s Centre
The Norwegian Writer’s Centre creates contact between writers and the public, and ensure that authors receive the proper honorary fees. We are a member-based organization for writers with approximately 1800 members all over the country. Our organization was established in 1968.
What does the Norwegian Writers’ Centre do?
We convey writers for readings, book presentations, lectures, writing courses, school visits, and much more. Such activities are commissioned by libraries, schools, public institutions, the book industry, organizations and the business community.
Our biggest events are De Litterære Festspill, the Trondheim Literature Festival Æ Å, author’s lectures, Litteraten and regional book days. We offer writing courses, communication courses and a number of other events.
The Norwegian Writers’ Centre is an important contributor to the Cultural Schoolbag. We cooperate with counties and municipalities towards the best possible literary offers for children and young adults. We own and operate Norsk Forfattersentrum Litteraturbruket, a competence center for literary productions.
The Norwegian Writers’ Centre promotes a live communication of contemporary literature.
The organization has 20 employees and covers the entire country with offices in Kristiansand, Bergen, Oslo, Trondheim and Tromsø. The main office is at the House of Literature (Litteraturhuset) in Oslo.
